The term foo fighter was used by Allied aircraft pilots in World War II to describe various UFOs seen in the skies over both the European and Pacific Theaters of Operations. Formally reported from November 1944 onwards, witnesses often assumed that the foo fighters were secret weapons employed by the enemy, but they remained unidentified post-war and were reported by both Allied and Axis forces. (用語のフー・ファイターは、ヨーロッパと太平洋の作戦戦域の空で見られる様々なUFO を説明する第二次世界大戦の、連合軍の航空機パイロットによって使用されました。正式に1944年11月以降からの報告、目撃者は多くの場合、フー・ファイターは敵に採用された秘密兵器であるとしばしば仮定しました。彼らは戦後も正体不明のままに残り、枢軸(すうじく)、連合の両方によって報告されました。)
