例えば我々には、ノースカロライナ、パムリコ(Pamlico)郡のロニー・ヒル（Ronnie Hill) 、14歳の男子のケースがあります。
1967年7月21日の晴れた夏の午後、彼は明らかに単独で自宅の庭で遊んでいました。
そのとき悪臭が立ち込めてきて、涙が出てきてとても気分が悪くなりました。
彼は、この悪臭が近くの野原に着陸している宇宙船に関係があったこと(！)を、突然心配するようになりました。　
そして、彼が空飛ぶ円盤を見たと皆に話せば、全く正しく、誰も彼を信じていないだろうと思って、彼は携帯用コダック・カメラを取りに戻りました。
現場に戻ったロニーは、宇宙船（彼が直径およそ9フィート(2.743m)であると推定した球状白いもの）が近くの野原で本当に停止しているのを発見しました。
不気味な小型宇宙船の後ろから、ひょろ長い、細い足と特大のノームのような頭とともに、光る銀色のスーツを纏うクリーチャーは現れました。
それは地面に挿入した黒い物を引き抜き、引き下がると船に戻りました。
そして、それは唐突に(points unknown)出発しました。
UFO が飛び立った後、ロニーはプロパン・ガスに似た何かの臭いを嗅ぎました、しかし、彼をもの凄く怯えさせた事は、この全ての悪夢が絶対の、全くの、完全な静寂(silence)で尽きた(played out)、ということでした。
鳴いている鳥も、翅音をたてる虫もいない、何もない。( No birds chirping, no insects whirring, no nothing.)

とにかく、この男子が]第2にした事は、彼の写真の焼き増しをUFO誌に送ることでした。
悲しいことに、彼らは債務超過に陥って、写真を男子から購入することができませんでした、しかし、雑誌の編集者は、研究者ジョン・キール( investigator John Keel)に彼の手紙を転送しました。

彼が行動した方法と写真の卑しさは、いたずらを叫びます。
国際UFO博物館とニューメキシコのリサーチセンター(the International UFO Museum & Research Center in New Mexico) のレポートを私は見つけました。そして、ロニー・ヒル事件をリストします。
「小さな写真のいたずら–は、卵殻をプラスしてモデルにします」
彼らがどのようにしてこの結論に至ったかについては説明がない。
それがいたずらであると仮定して、それはいくらかの変わったパラドックスを例示します。

小遣い欲しさのHOAX である？14の少年にしては卑しい、と。
そうかな？嘘っぱちだったら今日まで権利を主張する？もう写真撮影から50年近いよ？
嘘だから主張する？途中で良心の呵責に耐えかねるでしょ？普通の人間、ましては14の少年なら、いくらなんでも、

それに、14にしては手が込んでる。GI・JOE ならあの女の子の後ろの宇宙人飛行士のがよっぽどなんだけどな？
オリジナル写真見てさ、なかなかイイな、って思ってしまった。俺も信じてなかった派だけど、

何故写真を一枚しか撮影しなかった？とかさ、驚天動地の瞬間に二枚目冷静に、それはプロでも難いわ、14にそこ突っ込んでも酷かな、

エイリアンがカメラ目線？えーやん、外宇宙から乗り物で移動する科学力を持つ種だよ？
人間だってジャングルで興味深い動物を発見したら遠巻きに凝視するとは思うけどな？

宇宙人だとして、コダックのカメラ知ってる前提とかが傲慢。あとオリジナルネガ調べなかったんだって？そんだけオモローなストーリー、ってことじゃなかったんかな？

えーやん、オモロいならそれで、ダメ？嘘臭いけどストーリーはなかなかグッド、14でも明らかに単独で、たまたま独りで遊ぶ時もあるよ、エイリアンも地質調査くらいする、つの。
ほら、人間も月や火星に行ってまず土壌サンプル摂るやんね？

突っ込むんならいくらでも。人類が孤独ではないとした夢や、物語のオモローさで2015年の現代まで愉しめてるその分、俺は当時14のロニー氏のこの出来事を支持すっかな？
