Chaneques
メキシコでいくつかの「デュエンデ(Duendes)」かもしれない淡水サルである可能性をチェック、研究は、サイド角を曲がって、代わりにチャネケス(Chaneques)と呼ばれる小人のような生き物に向かいました。
2007年6月に、Metepecの、獣医の牧場の労働者は、彼らが飼育していた何羽かの鳥が不思議なほど死んだとわかりました。
何匹かの空腹なネズミがこれらの襲撃の原因であったのを恐れ、彼らは罠を組み立てて待ちました。
次の午後に、Angel Nunez　(獣医のアシスタント)は、罠に填まり込んだ「何か」を見つけました。彼は確認することなくそれを「tanning solution」に投げ込みました。
そしてそれが、牧場へ行く途中を時々見かけた厄介なエジプトのネズミの1匹であったと考えました。
その翌日、「ネズミ」が本当にヒューマノイドの特徴を持つ小さな生物形態であるということが発覚しました。
Angel はすぐに彼の同僚に知らせました、そして、彼らは変な生きものを検査しました。
そして、それは誰もこれまでに見たことのない形態を示していました。
大きな頭、高さおよそ28インチ、目、耳、鼻、口、切歯(門歯)、5本の指による手と、最も興味をそそるのは短い尾でした。
