クローフォーズヴィル(Crawfordsville)の怪物は、伝えられるところでは、1891年のインディアナの小さな町の空で見つかった、未確認の飛ぶ生きものに与えられる名前です。

クローフォーズヴィルの怪物の物語は、1891年9月に Indianapolis Journal で最初に発表されて、Brooklyn Eagle の9月10日号(Issues) に取り上げられました(was later picked)。
それはその後ローカル民間伝承の一部になって、著名な異常現象調査官(anomalous phenomena investigator) Charles H. Fort によって研究されました(investigated)。
現在 クリーチャーについて記録されることの多くは、Vincent P. Gaddis のインタビュー、クローフォーズヴィルで働いているジャーナリストとFortean協会のメンバーから来ます。ギャディスは、怪物が生きているクリーチャーで、機械のUFOではなかった と主張します。
