今この脚の話しは、確かに1950年の末に、そして 1960年代に広まって、ネス湖の怪獣の証拠として発表されました。

Tim Dinsdaleは 1960 年7月、彼の2度目の遠征中にそれを湖で見たと言います。彼の本「ネス湖の怪獣」の中で彼の完全な物語を読むことができます。
ただし、それは Drumnadrochit (ドラムナドロキット。スコットランドの高原地方にある村) の民家で見つかりました。そして、所有者は彼がそれを調べるのを許可しました。
足は保存状態が良く、13インチ×18インチ(45.72cm)を計りました。
明らかに、それはアーカート城(Urquhart Castle) のそばで見つかりました。
しかし、ティムはそれがアリゲーター(alligator)、またはクロコダイルの脚(crocodile foot) であったという疑いを持ちました。
それがGharial（ガビアル、gavial=大型で魚食性のインド産のワニ類。細長い鼻を持つ）の種である場合があったとも推測されます。
ティムはそれが長い首のモンスターと混同されることができると推測した長い鼻も覚えておいてください！
