『アルタマハ・ハ』再び【Altamaha-ha, again】 : 13SHOE・高野十座のブログ

ジョージアAltamaha川の未知の湖棲生物は、よりたまたま「アルティ(Altie)」として偶然に知られている科学的な説明に挑みます。
ヨーロッパ人の入植前でさえ、タマ部族(Tama tribes) の人々は、音をたてて、大声で鳴き、巨大な、ヘビのような川の動物の物語を語りました。
過去世紀の間、漁師、樵夫(きこり) とボーイスカウトはAltamaha川の支流(tributaries) と沼地で生きものの目撃例を報告しました。
そして、それは大西洋の河川で最も大きな川の流域(river basins)の1つに流れ込み(feeds) ます。
目撃者の一致した意見(consensus) では、アルタマハ・ハ(Altamaha・ha) は、タイヤのトレッド(溝)のような背筋(ridges) 、細い首(narrow neck)、突き出た平らな鼻、ネズミイルカ(porpoise) のような尾、だけでなく、暗い、滑らかな獣皮(hide)を持ちます。

それは、ステロイドのチョウザメ(sturgeon on steroids)で在り得ますか？
歯をむき出したプレシオサウルスのような海洋爬虫類の先祖返り(throwback)？
多分、ネス湖の怪獣は池中からの従兄弟であるでしょう？
私は未確認生物（科学的な組織(scientific establishment) によって認められていないビッグフットのようなそういう有名な存在）について懐疑的です。
しかし Altamaha-haは無駄足に終わる(snipe hunt) 検索の可能性にもかかわらず、セイレーンの歌(siren song=誘惑) で私を呼びました。
