クロコッタ(Crocotta、またはcorocotta、crocuta、leucrocottaまたはyena）は、インドならびにエチオピアから始まる、グローバルに配布された神話の犬-オオカミです。
クロコッタは、とても大きな犬（時々ラバと同じくらい大きな）の身体があります。その頭はハイエナのそれに似ています。
裂かれたひづめ、馬のような鬣、ライオンのそれに似た尾、
そのコートの範囲は、黄色から褐色がかった黒まで色は変動して、ハイエナまたはトラに似ている点、またはストライプを含むことがあります。
