1998年11月16日PM21時半過ぎ、米テキサス、オースチン在住のジャーナリスト、Brian Bethelは、駐車場で10～14歳くらいの2人の少年に窓をノックされる。
少年2人はパーカーのフードを深くすっぽり被り「家まで乗せて」と頼んでくるのだが、Brian はその少年達の眼を見て背筋を凍らせる、
何しろその眼は穴が空いているかのように、目玉全体が、まるでエイリアンのグレイのそれを思わせるかのような”真っ黒”だったからだ。
「ドアを開けろ！乗せろ！」
Brian が恐ろしさのあまり硬っていると、黒い眼の少年2人は興奮し、車のドアを叩き喚きだす、
「乗せろ！乗せろ！」
怖くなったBrian は、車を駐車場からバックのまま急発進、その場を逃げ出したという…
真っ黒な眼をした子供 (Black Eyed Child=BEC) の存在は、この奇妙な出来事からテキサス中に広まり、やがて米だけでなく様々な場所でも報告されるようになった。
今回はその「BEC」の姿が、監視カメラに撮らえられた写真、
