大蛇ボア(boa constrictor) がツァイトガイスト(zeitgeist、独) 時代思想に自分の道をズルズルすべらせる(slithered) 前(Before) に、ホーパットコン湖(HOPATCONG) の上で、Hopatcong湖はもう一人の伝説的な住民（最初の目撃が1800年代後半にさかのぼるシークリーチャー）を持っていました。
犬のアタマと40フィート(12.192m)の蛇の体があると描写されて、Hopatcong湖の伝説的な海の怪物「ホッピー(Hoppie)」は、ニュージャージー州のネッシーで、地元の言い伝えで、その地位(place) と引き換えに(taking)、12フィート(3.6576m) のヘビである考えをおそらく(likely) 嘲笑い(scoff)ます。
ホッピー(Hoppie)、その名は Hopatcong から取られているが、New York World紙 から得た記事によると、「the Lake Hopatcong Angler(釣り人)」1894年8月4日号で文書化されていました。

そんなん小っさい小っさい、この湖には1800年代から「ホッピー」つー12〜3mものシークリーチャーが居るんだけど？とそんな伝説があるってことみたい、
