ヒマラヤ山脈のブル【Buru in the Himalayas】 : 13SHOE・高野十座のブログ

ブル(Buru) として知られている生きもので、最も初期のリポートは、人類学者（Professor von Furer-Haimendorfという名の）によって、冠詞で一つの文(sentence) から来ました。

Apatanisとして知られている人が占める(occupied) ヒマラヤの谷への彼の訪問の間に、彼はこれらの土地の人が、谷底の沼地(marsh) に住んでいたトカゲのようなクリーチャーの話をするのを聞きました。
彼は、Burusについて学ぶこれまでに(ever) 最初の西洋人でした。
後に、Charles Stonor という名の男が谷を訪問し、地元の人々から生きものについて訊きました。
彼らはまた、彼らの祖先(ancestors) は、湖底の5つの深淵にブルを閉じ込め(trapped)、淵を埋め尽くす(filled) ほど石を投げつけ(stoned)、クリーチャーを殺したことを彼に語りました。
彼らの絶滅の正確な日付はまだ知られていませんが、Stonor が到着する頃には、クリーチャーは長く絶滅していました。
最後のブルは、家族の為に水を汲みに行っていた(retrieving) 女子(girl) によって見られました。

タスマニア・タイガーやバーバリー・ライオンがまだ生存していた頃、生態系保護の概念にまだ気づかなかった時代の悲劇、ってことか、

絶滅中の今ヒマラヤに「ブル」が現れたら、そりゃもうヒマラヤの地元以外の世界中が、怪物が！未確認生物が出たーーっ！！てなるけども、
当時としては、現地ではモンスターでもなんでもない既知の、陸上をウロつくワニみたいな扱いの、コモドドラゴン系の大っきいトカゲだったんだろね？

ま、でも、コモドドラゴンも危ないっちゃ噛まれたら毒持ってるし、
近縁、亜種が「ブル」と呼ばれ、ヒマラヤに棲んでて、少女が水汲みなんかしてる時に後ろからガブっとエサにされた、そんな事件とかがあったんじゃないかな？
