過去5年の間、私は研究をWildcat（ヤマネコ)をモニターするためにカメラ罠の最初の使用を行うことを含む）に集中させていました。

スコットランドの山猫は、英国唯一の自国に残されたネコ科の動物で、ヨーロッパヤマネコ（Felis silvestris silvestris）の英国の集団をつくります。

英国の全域で広範囲にわたったら、山猫はその毛皮のために虐げられて、森林伐採の結果として大きな生息環境の喪失で苦しみました。
今日、山猫は北スコットランドで見つけることができるだけです。

それは非常に、荒野の中に残っているわずか400個体と一緒の絶滅危惧種であると見なされています。
山猫最大の脅威は、現在家猫との交雑育種（ハイブリダイゼーション）であると考えられています。
