ケラス猫は、スコットランドで見つかる小さな黒毛のネコです。
神話の野生の猫であると考えられていたのですが、その少ない目撃例をいたずらとして退けられて、見本が撃たれて、ロニー・ダグラスという名の狩猟場管理人によって1984年に殺され、Felis silvestrisの野生と国内の亜種間のハイブリッドであるとわかりました。

それは、正式な種類でなく、ネコ科の動物ハイブリッドのlandrace(品種) です。
見本は未確認動物学者カール・シューカーによってケラス(Kellas, モレー=Moray,）の村の名をとって名づけられました、そこで、猫は最初に見つかりました。
シューカーはケルト族の伝説のケット Kellas 猫の民俗記憶に基づいていることを示唆しました。
ケラス猫は、長さおよそ30cm（12インチ）程の強力で長い後脚と尾で、長さ65cm以上（25インチ）であると評されます。
見本は、エルギンの博物館に保存されています。
